Nokia Lumia 710 Review

The Nokia Lumia 710 is part of the Nokia Lumia line-up of phones introduced in November of last year.  But does it have what it takes?  startBlue examines if the Lumia 710 is right for you.

I have had the Lumia 710 for about a month.  Unlike most reviewers who push out a review in time for initial release after having the device for a few days.  How is it living with Lumia 710 as your main device, not a toy you are using?

The Lumia 710 has a 3.7in ClearBlack IPS LCD Display.  The weight, one of the lighter smartphones out there, is only 126 gram.  Compare to say 140 grams for the smaller iPhone 4S.  It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Snapdragon S2 processor.  It contains 8GB internal storage.  It has a 5 megapixel camera.  It connects to the network at a max of 14.4Mbps.  It is made of polycarbonate and glass.  The polycarbonate has been dyed rather than painted; this allows the phone to hold up better to wear and tear.  Speaking of dyes, it comes in black or white with optional black, white, cyan, magenta, or yellow back covers (Xpress-on Cover CC-3033).  The white and yellow are glossy while the others are matte.

The phone truly is an elegant Nokia design, no it doesn’t compare to the Lumia 800 or 900 with their gorgeous designs.  It is extremely Nokia, somewhat understated and simple, but it works  and is the best looking device minus the iPhone 4S and Lumia 800 and 900.

The phone is available in the US exclusively on T-Mobile and elsewhere in the world on most carriers.
