This Is What The Truth Feels Like

Music of 2016

Infectious music was part of the scene, we can’t forget Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop The Feeling. Strong messages were also there with Scars to Your Beautiful by Alessia Cara.

This Is What You Came For by Calvin Harris featuring Rihanna or Into You by Ariana Grande. 2016 certainly had its hits to remember.

2016 was also a roller coaster and we will always remember David Bowie, Prince, and George Michael.

It is no wonder I think of Rise by Katy Perry as a mood fitting song for 2016, no matter our struggles we will rise again. If all fails, Love Me Like You Never Did by Markus Schulz featuring Ethan Thompson reminds us that love can take us to the end. Yes, Hillary Clinton was right. What the world needs more of is love and compassion.

I also enjoyed releases from Shura, The Chainsmokers, and Fifth Harmony

I discovered Little Mix with the success of their track Black Magic in 2015. Black Magic spent three weeks at number one in the UK. Their 2016 album release, Glory Days, also went to number one in the UK.

Gwen Stefani continue to impress with the release of her album This Is What The Truth Feels Like and obviously includes Used to Love You but also the equally great Make Me Like You which was the first music video to be filmed live on TV! Definitely my favourite music moment from 2016!
